Meaning for the brain and meaning for the person

What is meaning and how does it arise in the natural world? This is the central question investigated in this cross-disciplinary AHRC Fellowship Project. Our two main goals are:
- To develop theories of representational content applicable to a series of case studies drawn from information-processing psychology (“subpersonal” representational systems).
- To collaborate with scientists to develop a catalogue of ways in which information processing operates differently on “personal level” mental representations like beliefs and desires.
